Sometimes its gets worse
So this weekend was crucial for the gallery. My boss has been out of town so I have been pushing it extra to work on things that need to get done. In the process I became a big gay bitch and was mopey all weekend.
Jettes been stressed.
Rosie has been sick bless her heart.
But I think I finally kicked my own "Grumpy Griselda" to the curb.
Money is always going to be a problem for an artist run / artist owned space. There are real professionals running GAG but no capital to back them up. We decided that we want to start a store that will allow us to make a more steady income and leave us more options for the art in the space.
Thank Jesus, Carrie quit her job and has decided to get back into the gallery business. She has been around helping us sort through all the shit we have had piled up and reclaiming her seat as one of the original founders of GAG.
But enough of the boring stuff... we actually have good new too.
Here is some stuff I have been working on for the gallery:
Tommorow House of Horseface puts up his collection of wares in the gallery.
We are now in talks with the:
about collaborating at GAG for some of their future "expanded cinema" shows.
Their new season is starting next week. Check it out.
We have some new classes lined up and our first figure drawing session was a great success.
